Home·Services·Government & Innovation Funding

Public capital has its own logic.

Government funds and innovation programs are a market with its own rules: what they finance, how they evaluate, what a strong application looks like. We work that market — from program selection to the financial model behind the application.

01

The Situation

The situation that brings clients here.

A company with a real technology or a real project — and no map of what public money actually exists for it. Or an application that was rejected not because the project was weak, but because it was written for the wrong audience: committees do not read like investors.

Public funding rewards preparation. The work is knowing the programs, and building the case to their tests.

  • Which programs does our project actually qualify for?
  • How does grant evaluation differ from investor evaluation?
  • What does the program count as innovation — and what as marketing?
  • Can the same pitch deck serve a committee and a fund?
  • What must the financial model show for public money?
  • What happens to reporting after the award?
  • Do we apply alone, or with partners?
  • What does a rejection tell us about the project?

What the Work Includes

Workstream 01

Workstream 02

Grant Business Plans

A business plan written for committee evaluation — what the program finances, what it checks, what it refuses — not adapted from an investor deck.

Pitch Decks for Government Funds

The same project, told for a public funder: public value, feasibility, and why this money.

Output: pitch deck

How the Engagement Runs

A market you prepare for, not a lottery.

Programs have criteria, calendars and evaluators. The work is preparation against all three — before anything is filed.

  • 01Funding readinessWhere the project stands against what programs require — before anything is written.
  • 02Program selectionThe shortlist: fit, odds, reporting load, calendar.
  • 03Case buildPlan, deck, model — one reconciled application.
  • 04Submission & answersThe application is filed, and the questions it draws are answered with us.
04

After the Award

After the award comes the obligation.

Public money arrives with strings attached: milestones, reporting, use-of-funds discipline. A company that treats the award as the finish line loses the second round. We plan a funding strategy longer than one grant — and the reporting that keeps the money coming.

  • →A program map you keepWhich programs exist, which fit, in what order.
  • →One reconciled applicationPlan, deck and model tell the same story.
  • →A funding strategy, not a one-offThe next round is planned while this one is filed.

Common Questions

Which geographies do you cover?

UAE funds and programs, UK government grants including Innovate UK, EU innovation & R&D programs, and US federal & state programs.

Is a committee the same as an investor?

No — different tests. Investors price upside; committees check feasibility, public value and compliance. We wrote about what each one actually buys.

Can you guarantee funding?

No. Programs fund a share of applications by design. What we can do is make the case competitive — and tell you honestly when the project is not yet ready.

We were rejected — is it worth trying again?

Often, yes. A rejection is information about fit and preparation, not always a verdict on the project. We wrote about what a rejection reveals.

Do we need partners to apply?

Some programs require consortia or local presence — the program map answers that before you invest in the application.

What if the grant covers only part of the budget?

Most do. Mixing funding sources is normal; doing it without conflicts is the discipline. We wrote about mixing sources without a conflict.

Applying for public money? Prepare first.

Bring the project. We bring the program map.
